Everything you need to know what breaks

Every feature exists because LLM-based PR tools have a fundamental limitation: they guess. Arbor doesn't guess — it traces the actual graph.

Core Engine

Graph-native analysis

Not grep. Not embeddings. An actual call graph.

Arbor uses Tree-sitter to parse your source into ASTs, then builds a directed dependency graph via petgraph. Every edge is a real call — function calls, imports, class extensions, interface implementations.

When you change a function, Arbor does a BFS from that node and finds every transitive caller. No fuzzy matching. No hallucinations. If A → B → C and you change C, Arbor reports A and B. Always.

14 languages. One graph engine.

Tree-sitter grammars give us language-specific AST parsing. The same Rust petgraph engine processes everything.

Arbor vs everything else

CapabilityArborCodeRabbitSonarQube
Actual call graph (not embeddings)
Zero false positives guaranteed
No LLM in the risk path
Specific before-you-merge actions
Works on 500k+ line codebases
Bug/smell detection
Security CVE scanning

Arbor is not a replacement for SonarQube or CodeRabbit — it fills a gap they don't cover.
